Mu7 - Marcoux-Bromberg R-3

This is a custom-built racer, shown as race number 2, registered as NX14215. These photos were taken at the New England Air Museum on 23 March 1989. The canopy is missing. This aircraft took second place in the 1937 and 1938 Thompson Trophy races, flown by Earl Ortman. In 1939, Earl flew this plane to 3rd place in the Thompson.
